In a press release published on the Cal Poly Master Plan website, the university announced certain agricultural lands initially being considered for development have been completely removed from consideration.
The land includes what is commonly known as the “lemon groves.” Specific land plots can be seen below in the map published in the press release.
Three plots of land have been removed from consideration — one plot boxed in by Highway 1 and Mt. Bishop Road, and two plots boxed in by Highland Drive, Highway 1 and California Boulevard.

Here is a view of the land plots in the original Master Plan land use conceptual maps. The plots are marked light brown and are specified by red boxes.

These decisions were made during a Master Plan update meeting with Cal Poly academic, administrative and student leadership.
Anyone can address their concerns and opinions about the Master Plan to the university through the Master Plan contact page.

This isn’t the prime land that AG was complaining about at all. They are complaining about the land designated for the new biz hub? and the land way north by the new equestrian center for another dorm, which could easily be near Village Drive below Cerro Vista near other new and existing housing, and the land being turned into a big grassy (rec) area east of the Biz hub. Is this another attempt to mislead people??
