ASI will bring Baby Rose to perform a free concert for students on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The concert will take place in the Performing Arts Center from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be free for students, according to ASI.
Students interested in attending Rose’s performance can register for tickets on the PAC Ticket Office website beginning Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.. Ticket holders must have a valid PolyCard and government-issued ID.
According to Rose’s official website, Baby Rose is a Los Angeles-based alternative R&B performer. In July 2026, she released her third album, “YEARNALISM.” She describes her work as “the courage to say the hard parts out loud.”
Rose recently earned her first Grammy for her contributions to Leon Thomas’ album, “MUTT.”
Rose recently finished touring with Olivia Dean on her “The Art of Loving” tour on Aug. 29 and will open for Harry Styles’ 2027 “Together, Together” Dublin tour stops.
Civil engineering sophomore, Adeline Towle, expressed excitement for the upcoming concert.
“I always like free concerts,” she said. “I go to all the concerts for Cal Poly. Usually, I don’t know very much information, but my friends do, so when they invite me, I always go.”
Talia Ramezani, a biology sophomore, appreciates that Rose is bringing a new style to ASI concerts.
“It’s great that there’s a larger range of genres that we’re bringing to Cal Poly,” Ramezani said. “No matter what, people in SLO really love live music, so I think it is going to be fun for everyone.”
Rose’s performance is part of a recurring concert series that ASI hosts for students. Past performers include Dayglow, Swae Lee, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and more.
