A fire broke out the night of Oct. 7 on the top level of the parking structure behind Poly Canyon Village.
The Cal Poly Police Department and the San Luis Obispo Fire Department were dispatched at 10:48 p.m. Firefighters arrived 10 minutes later and fully extinguished the fire, according to University Spokesperson Keegan Koberl.
The structure is on Canyon Circle behind Estrella, an on-campus apartment building in PCV.
“It doesn’t appear that anyone was injured, and the parking structure was checked and was not damaged other than black soot on the top level of the structure,” Koberl wrote in an email to Mustang News.
The fire is currently under investigation by Cal Poly Police, and they have yet to determine the cause. Koberl encourages anyone with information about the fire to contact the Cal Poly Police Department.
