Cal Poly faculty members developed their own saliva testing protocol as part of the new testing program that started on campus Monday, Jan. 25. The new test will be self-administered and is more cost effective than the current test according to Cal Poly President Jeffrey Armstrong.

Students and Faculty Respond to New COVID-19 Testing Requirements
Cal Poly implemented a new testing requirement and after the first two weeks, students and staff share their thoughts on the process. Wait times during the first week of the quarter were upwards of 40 minutes, but are now about 10 minutes. Appointment times are every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
