A group of Cal Poly students and faculty gathered in the University Union (UU) Plaza on Wednesday, Dec. 2 to protest a death threat received by a SLO Solidarity member.

The group marched around the UU Plaza holding signs with statements such as “Do our lives matter on this campus? #SLOsolidarity #CPexlusion” accompanied with chants that included “We received a threat. What don’t you get?,” “White privilege is not right privilege” and others.

The group ended its protest with speeches from a few members of the SLO Solidarity organization.
