Many Cal Poly students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree have begun the process of studying for standardized tests that can potentially determine their future careers.
Two of the most popular exams taken by students are the CPA exam and the GRE. The CPA is the Certified Public Accountant exam that must be passed for a person to become eligible to be a certified public accountant. The Graduate Record Exam gets students in to graduate schools, physical therapy school, physician’s assistant school and more.
This time of year is when many students begin to study and take these tests. However, studying while still focusing on Cal Poly classes can be difficult.
Laura Hoover spoke with two students who are splitting their time between school and test prep to see why these tests are so important to them.
