When the time arrived to pick a college, Christian Cueto had three main criteria: A good engineering program, a good surrounding area and the ability to keep playing music. Cal Poly checked his boxes and the band especially was “a huge reason why I came here.”

Cal Poly Choirs to kick off holiday season with annual concert
According to the Cal Poly music department website, the concert is presented by Cal Poly Choirs, a group that includes Polyphonics, The University Singers, Chamber Choir and Cantabile. As a special addition to the concert, the Cal Poly Wind Ensemble and the Cuesta College Chamber Singers will also be performing.

Cal Poly Music Department faculty members will display their musical expertise in a Faculty Showcase recital as part of Cal Poly’s Mustang Family Weekend.
The recital will occur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 in Room 218 of the Davidson Music Center. The performance will showcase intimate works that emphasize the faculty’s artistic accomplishments.
