Pipeline safety a concern

The gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno, Calif., on Sept. 9 raised concerns about the safety of other gas pipelines in California — more specifically in San Luis Obispo and on Cal Poly campus. To clear the air SoCalGas and, on campus, Environmental Health and Safety are regulating pipe checks and informing the public about pipe safety.
