Police have identified a 22-year-old man killed in a collision on Saturday morning as Kent Boswell, a current Cal Poly business administration student.

At approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday, Boswell was in the roadway in the 4300 block of South Higuera Street and was struck by a driver heading southbound, according to police. The driver, police said, was a 25-year-old man from Arroyo Grande.

The officers present gave Boswell CPR. He was then taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Matt Lazier, a Cal Poly spokesperson, confirmed Boswell was a student and said there will be a campus-wide message soon.
