Richard Schaeffer, Eduardo Zambrando and Richard Cobb are among many Cal Poly professors that have spent the time writing their own textbook for their classes. Each professor explains the inspiration for creating their own book, as well as the process and impact they have felt from it. Each professor said they spent around three years writing the book, and some of them have written a book for multiple classes, which they said is a part of their goal to create a better learning experience for their students.
