Cal Poly Police Department arrested student Alexis Alejandro, 25, in response to an attempted burglary in Poly Canyon Village on Sept. 7, according to an email sent by CPPD. Alejandro was arrested on charges of burglary and assault with intent to commit rape.
CPPD arrested Alejandro on Thursday, Sept. 19, around 3:45 pm, according to the email. Alejandro was booked in the SLO County Jail and has been barred from campus.
Alejandro is a resident advisor in University housing, according to the email.
The police investigation is ongoing and more information is unavailable at this time, according to Cal Poly spokesperson Matt Lazier.
Update, Sept. 25: Alejandro’s bail has been set as $200,000, according to the case summary.
