“All I’m trying to do is get people’s creative juices going and convince people that everyone has an imagination and everyone can be more creative than they are,” Christensen said of his presentations.

Eye of the 'white tiger'
Who knew that Cal Poly was home to a white tiger? OK, maybe not a real white tiger, but ask any member of the Cal Poly swim team, “Where’s the white tiger?” and they’ll most likely point you in the direction of freshman swimmer Gloria Benefield.
When asked how she came to be known as “the white tiger,” she said, “I have this suit that’s blue and it’s got stripes like a tiger, and I’m really white – I don’t tan whatsoever – so a guy on the team named me ‘white tiger.

Mendes stays unbeaten, Pami also wins
The Cal Poly wrestling team returned to action against UC Davis at Mott Gym on Friday night after a 12-day break. Ultimately, the Mustangs overcame the Aggies with a 28-15 win in the Pac-10 dual.
They won seven of the 10 matches, which included two forfeits by UC Davis.

Shooting the moon
We Shot The Moon, a pop-rock band based in San Diego, Calif., will perform in Backstage Pizza today at 11 a.m.
The band is lead by alternative rock group Walking Ashland’s former lead singer Jonathon Jones. Wanting to build on the success of his previous band but needing to go in another direction, Jones created We Shot The Moon after Waking Ashland disbanded.
