The Cal Poly Creamery’s limited-edition “Holly Jolly Cal Poly” holiday cheese box is available for order until this Sunday, with holiday shipping across the United States.
Each box includes a selection of handcrafted artisan cheeses, along with other seasonal treats like Cal Poly chocolate, all made by students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.
“They’re all handcrafted artisan cheese made by the students, which is most important,” Creamery Production Manager Katy Pankey said. “Purchasing these cheese boxes keeps us going to keep training students in the future to prepare for the industry.”
The creamery sells around 2000 boxes each holiday season, Pankey said. This year’s edition features Triple-Peak Brie, Madonna Alpine-style cheese, two bars of chocolate and a stainless steel cheese knife.
“They have other Cal Poly products, we use products from the Meat Processing Center as well as Food Sciences,” Pankey said. Summer sausage, spice rubs and barbecue sauce are available in other boxes offered by the creamery.
