Though greek leaders planned to meet with Dean of Students Jean DeCosta today to discuss the proposed party registration policy, they will be unable to do so because DeCosta is out sick with the flu, Panhellenic President and business administration junior Danielle Durante said.

“What we know right now is she will not be in the office today or tomorrow,” Durante said.

Durante said that she and Interfraternity council (IFC) President Domenic Hjerpe will be meeting with all IFC and Panhellenic chapter presidents to discuss the policy after IFC’s weekly meeting tonight.

Greek leaders are aiming for the end of this week to reach a compromise with administrators, but “anything could happen,” Durante said.  It is unlikely, however, any agreement will be reached until DeCosta is back on campus.

“I think face-to-face contact in person is the best to come to a final agreement with this, but we’re definitely still working with the presidents right now to make sure we correct the revisions they want to see,” Durante said.
