Anyone who’s spent Thursday night strolling down Higuera Street knows agriculture has a large impact on the San Luis Obispo community. Vendors from all over the county — including Cal Poly — sell fresh produce at Farmers’ Market.

Cal Poly students plant, pick and package their own organic produce to sell each week. Students in enterprise classes, volunteers and employees spend every Thursday morning choosing organic produce that looks best for selling.

Here’s an inside look at the process.
