About a month ago, I stood behind one of my best childhood friends (bridesmaid bouquet and emergency tissues in hand) and watched her marry the man of her dreams. A little more than nine months ago, I did the same thing for one of my sorority sisters. And I still have at least three more weddings to go to this year.

Poly alum John Madden inducted into Hall of Fame
Cal Poly alumnus John Madden touched down into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 5 in a ceremony that took place in Canton, Ohio. The legendary coach actually got on a plane for the first time since 1979. His fear of flying is thought to have stemmed from an October 1960 plane crash that killed members of the Cal Poly football team.

Animal science department adds four new buildings

The newly built hay barn and beef center is located across from Cuesta Community College off Education Boulevard in the hills, was part of Escuela Ranch.
