San Luis Obispo now has 202 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Monday, May 4 – up one case from yesterday, according to the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department.

Of the total cases, 40 patients are at home in isolation, 156 patients have recovered, and five are currently in the hospital. Three of the hospitalized patients remain in intensive care. There remains one death related to coronavirus in the county.

Total Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in SLO County

County Public Health has now conducted 1,564 tests in which 70 have tested positive. Private laboratories have detected 131 cases, but the number of tests conducted is unknown, according to County Public Health.

The largest single-day spike the county saw remains at 14 cases.

There are 14 cases of coronavirus in those zero to 17-years-old, 87 in ages 18 to 49-years-old, 57 in 50 to 64-years-old and 43 in those 65 and older.
