Cal Poly launches Utility Box Art Project for campus beautification
Cal Poly is taking a creative approach to enhance the aesthetic appeal of its campus through the launch of the Utility Box Art Project.
Front Porch: ‘Where every person and moment matter’
After the pandemic, Front Porch, a faith based nonprofit coffee house opened its doors to all students and is now full to the brim at all hours of the day. It is located off of Foothill Boulevard near the Health Center on campus.
Front porch offers free coffee and espresso during the day and hosts other events such as a free meal on Wednesdays each week. It stays running through donations from local churches, community members and student volunteers.
Eight people arrested at Palestine protest outside Cal Poly Rec Center

Cal Poly Orchesis Dance Company presents “Retrograde”
In addition to two guest choreographers, “Retrograde” presents the work of five student choreographers. Orchesis director and dance professor Diana Stanton said the personalized approach student choreographers take to dance incorporates elements of their academic and personal lives and translate them into movement, according to the news release.
